On 5 February 2011, Labour Affairs of Royal Thai Embassy of Tel-Aviv visited Thai workers at Moshav MisterKim since they complained that their accommodation is cramped and have improper condition, no washing machine, heater and water heater provided as well as inadequately wash room provided. After arrival, it is found that there are 10 workers working there and their living condition is improper as they complained. According to the talk with Mr. Isik, the employer, it appears that the employer has planed to construct new accommodation for the workers which is expected to be done within 1 month so that the old ones have not been renovated. Accordingly, the Labour Affairs therefore asked the employer to provide other necessary equipments for the employees and they will come to monitor the progress again next month.
Thai workers have good working condition; they earn approximately 45,000-50,000 baht. However, Labour Affair found that workers do not clean their accommodation and garbage found around the area of accommodation. The officer therefore warned and recommended them to take turn to keep cleaning the areas and not to waste money with alcohol and drugs.
