Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned his Advisor to commence the “Planting and Sharing Labour Day to Create Happiness and Awaken the Workforce Against Drugs” event. The initiative follows the Phetchaburi National Labour Day Project for 2021.
On May 27, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan to commence the “Planting and Sharing Labour Day to Create Happiness and Awaken the Workforce Against Drugs” event, following the Phetchaburi National Labour Day project for 2021. The occasion took place at the Nong Chumphon Temple, Nong Chumphon Sub-district, Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi Province. Deputy Governor of Phetchaburi Province Ms. Ekarat Nakhakong, heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi, independent organizations, employers, and business owners also joined the occasion. The Labour Minister’s Advisor said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan recognizes the importance of the workforce as a major cog in the country’s economic and social development for sustainable progress. May 1 was the National Labour Day. This is an important day where many countries worldwide recognize the workforce as an important part of driving the economy, generating income, and building a strong social foundation for the nation. Phetchaburi has expanded its industrial sector, the tourism sector, and the trade and service sectors. It is, therefore, an important policy for promotion and development, through the implementation of plans, projects, and activities to make companies a stable business operation and for employers, employees, or workers to have a good livelihood and quality of life.
Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the Ministry of Labour thanks the workforce in all walks of life who have strengthened their responsibilities to develop the provincial economy and society. There have also been joint activities such as promoting workplace safety, preventing and treating drug addiction problems, and sufficiency economic living. The Ministry of Agriculture is ready to support and promote the well-being of employees, employers, workers, and their families, communities, and society. She also thanked the abbot of Nong Chumpon Temple, the Phetchaburi Provincial Labour Protection and Welfare Office, and all relevant parties that have worked together in this event. She wished that the event runs smoothly and reaches its objectives.
