Labour Minister Assigns Advisor to Commence Training for Riders to Create Careers and Income Opportunities

          On September 26, 2022, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to preside over the project’s opening ceremony to promote the profession of motorcyclists in transporting goods in the “delivery by motorcycle” course. Heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi Province participated in the event at the Leelawadee Room, 2nd floor, Building 10, Phetchaburi Vocational College, Mueang District, Phetchaburi Province.
          Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the Ministry of Labour, under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan and the Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, gives great importance to the informal sector, workers who have been laid off, unemployed, and those affected by the COVID-19 situation. Therefore, agencies under the Ministry of Labour were assigned to support through various forms, such as recruitment, in terms of workplace health, protection, and safety, guaranteeing stability in life, including career development to suit the needs of the labour market, and creating opportunities for employment and income.
          The Ministry of Labour’s Phetchaburi Skills Development Office organized the training to develop knowledge and skills in driving a motorcycle to transport goods (riders) for those interested in attending the training. The training aims to create career opportunities in the food delivery service business, which has grown in the current age. The profession can be utilized as a main or additional occupation to generate income for the participants and their families.
