Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned his Advisor to visit Petchaburi to welcome youths from Sukhothai Province to move workers according to the employment promotion program for new graduates by the public and private sectors. The program aims to assist new graduates in hiring to have jobs and assist establishments to continue their business. The government subsidizes salaries and wages by 50 percent of the salary according to the graduate’s educational background, at a maximum of 7,500 Baht per month, per person. The program is effective from October 1, 2020, to November 30, 2021, following the systematic labour migration project.
On May 11, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan to welcome new graduates from the Sukhothai Employment Office to the Phetchaburi Provincial Employment Office, in Muang District, Phetchaburi Province, to work at Cal-Comp Electronics Thailand PCL. The Labour Minister’s Advisor said that Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha emphasized promoting employment to help people affected by Covid-19 to return to work and earn a living. The Ministry of Labour, under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, gives importance to promoting employment, especially for youths in various provinces that have no work yet, through a systematic and integrated labour movement. It is considered a way to resolve unemployment in the area and solve the labour shortages in Phetchaburi and reduce unemployment in Sukhothai Province.
Mrs. Thiwalrat said that Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin said that everyone is concerned about the youths, afraid that they will not be able to work for a long time because they are in different areas and away from their family. The Labour Minister assigned agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi to help build confidence for the people in the area, to create sustainability, and adapt to work in Phetchaburi to solve the problem of unemployment in the area. The state gives priority to all the children. Then they are in the hands of Phetchaburi agencies, the families of the youths will know that the government gives importance to all Thai people. The systematic and integrated labour movement is considered a guideline to solve unemployment among people in the area and labour shortage in Thailand too.
