Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned his Advisor to visit Phetchaburi to commence a training course on the preparation of prevention and solution standards to solving drug problems in the workplace. She also awarded certificates to certify standards on the prevention and solutions to workplace issues and “White Factory” certificates.
On March 16, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Advisor to the Labour Minister, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to preside over the commencement of training to create standards for the prevention and solutions to drug problems in the workplace. She also awarded certificates for safety educational institutions and business establishments that have received the Outstanding Operational Safety Award, “White Factory” project certificate, and certificates on the prevention and solutions to drug problems in the workplace to 57 organizations. The initiative aims to raise awareness for employers and employees to comply with workplace safety laws and build drug immunity among workplace workers. The occasion took place at the Royal Diamond Hotel, Petchaburi.
Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, gives importance to the prevention and solution to drug problems. Today, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin has assigned me to preside over the opening ceremony of the training on the preparation of and solution standards to solving drug problems in the workplace. She also awarded certificates to certify standards on the prevention and solutions to workplace issues and “White Factory” certificates. The Labour Minister’s Advisor congratulated and showed appreciation to educational institutions that received the Safety Education Certificate and establishments awarded the “White Factory” project certificate and certificates on the prevention and solutions to drug problems in the workplace for all 57 places. The award shows that such organizations pay attention to safety at work and cultivates a culture of safety in the workplace for youths who will be an important part of the nation’s workforce. It raises awareness among employers and employees to comply with occupational safety laws to reduce the harm from the employees’ work. Actions to prevent and solve drug problems in the workplace show that such establishments are a part of the government’s drive to prevent and tackle drug problems, which is a national problem. All sectors must work together to make such issues disappear from Thailand for the ultimate goal and the peace of all people.
This training aims to enhance awareness among employers, employees, business establishments, and state enterprises to realize the importance of the penalty, drug poisoning, and take part in defenses, being careful not to spread drugs into their agencies. The “White Factory” project and standards for the prevention and solutions of drug problems in the workplace were implemented and developed to pass the evaluation criteria following the requirements, which is to build drug immunity for workers and promote drug addicts to enter the healing and rehabilitation process, to recover from drug addiction and to return to work normally.
