On August 23, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the first COVID-19 vaccination does service for Section 33 insured persons at the basement of Robinson Lifestyle Shopping Center, Phetchaburi Branch, Petchkasem Road, Samor Phlue Subdistrict, Ban Lat District, Phetchaburi Province. Phetchaburi Provincial Governor Mr. Phakphong Thawipat, Deputy Governor of Phetchaburi Province Ms. Ekarat Nakhakong, Phetchaburi Provincial Public Health Officer Dr. Petchlert Tansawat, Ban Lat District Chief Mr. Paisan Chophaka, the Social Security Office’s Inspector-General Mrs. Wantana Natthaphunwat, General Manager of Robinson Lifestyle Shopping Center Mr. Chokawit Wasuwirakloti and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi also participated in this occasion. Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour and Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, is concerned about the workforce and the general public amid the COVID-19 situation, promoting vaccinations as a national agenda. The Labour Minister assigned the Social Security Office to work with the Ministry of Interior, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Ministry of Public Health by the National Health Security Office (NHSO), the Ministry of Finance by Krung Thai Bank, and public and private social security networked hospitals to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to insured persons. The initiative aims to control the outbreak’s spread from spreading to a wide area in factories and establishments.
“Today, the Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin has assigned my team and me to visit the service point providing the first dose of COVID-19 vaccinations to Section 33 insured persons at the basement floor of Robinson Lifestyle Shopping Center, Phetchaburi branch. The facility is under the responsibility of the Phetchaburi Provincial Social Security Office. It has the potential to vaccinate 1,250 people daily with a team of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists from Ban Lad Hospital, which will vaccinate 10,000 people with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccinations for Section 33 insured persons in Phetchaburi Province from August 23 to September 1, 2021 (except public holidays). Vaccines are all from the AstraZeneca brand. Providing COVID-19 vaccinations to Section 33 insured persons is one of the Ministry of Labour’s measures in prevention and treatment by expediting vaccinations to insured people following government policy to control the spread of COVID-19 and build immunity among workers for business to move forward.
On the same day in the afternoon, the Labour Minister’s Advisor presided over the meeting on planning for the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccinations at the meeting room of the Khao Yoi District Office, 2nd floor Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi Province. Deputy Governor of Phetchaburi Province Mr. Nattawut Petchpromsorn, Deputy Phetchaburi Provincial Public Health Doctor Mr. Boonlarp Thipchan, Khao Yoi District Public Health Officer Mr. Prasert Plodprong, Director of Khao Yoi Hospital Dr. Orawan Tavetiphong, Mayor of Khao Yoi Subdistrict Mrs. Oranong Sirichai and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi also participated in this meeting. “The government has set COVID-19 vaccinations as a national agenda, and the Ministry of Labour is concerned about the workforce. Therefore, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin has assigned me to visit the area to discuss the plan to prepare for the second dose of COVID-19 vaccinations to control the pandemic’s spread and create immunity among the workforce. The meeting also considered the management of vaccination sites to facilitate the people who receive services as well,” concluded Mrs. Thiwalrat.
