On September 8, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the area to present a certificate of appreciation to the private sector for their contributions in providing facilities and hospitals in the social security network for supporting medical personnel in the COVID-19 vaccinations to Section 33 insured persons. Academic Labour Advisor Mrs. Napasorn Toongsooksai also joined the occasion at the Fashion Island Shopping Center, Khan Na Yao District, and Kasem Bundit University, Minburi District, Bangkok. Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, is concerned about the workforce and the general public amid the COVID-19 situation, promoting vaccinations as a national agenda. The Labour Minister assigned the Social Security Office to work with the Ministry of Interior, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Ministry of Public Health by the National Health Security Office (NHSO), the Ministry of Finance by Krung Thai Bank, and public and private social security networked hospitals to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to insured persons. The initiative aims to control the outbreak’s spread from spreading to a wide area in factories and establishments.
“Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned my team and me to visit the vaccination services for Section 33 insured persons and to present a plaque of appreciation to thank the private sector and encourage medical personnel providing COVID-19 vaccinations to Section 33 insured persons. This is one of the Ministry of Labour’s measures in prevention and treatment, following government policy to control the spread of COVID-19 and build immunity among workers for business to move forward,” concluded Mrs. Thiwalrat.
The vaccination service facility at Fashion Island Shopping Center is under the responsibility of the Bangkok Social Security Office Area 9, with the capacity to vaccinate 1,200 people daily. Kluay Nam Thai Hospital is the medical facility providing the services.
The vaccination service facility at Kasem Bundit University is under the responsibility of the Bangkok Social Security Office Area 10, with the capacity to vaccinate 1,000 people daily. Navamin Hospital is the medical facility providing the services.
