Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned his Advisor to visit and encourage Section 33 insured persons in Bangkok to get their Covid-19 vaccinations at the Seacon Bang Khae and SC Plaza (Sai Tai Mai) Building vaccination facilities.
On June 9, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Advisor to the Labour Minister, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the Covid-19 vaccination services for insured persons in Bangkok. The Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, also attended this visit at the Seacon Bang Khae and SC Plaza (Sai Tai Mai) Building vaccination centers of the Bangkok Social Security Office Area 6. The facilities can support up to 1,000 people per day, with a team of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists from Bangpakok 8 Hospital as the operator.
Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, has rolled out Covid-19 vaccinations as a national agenda. The Ministry of Labour, under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, is concerned about the workforce. The Labour Minister assigned the Social Security Office to work with the Ministry of Interior, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Ministry of Health by the National Health Security Office (NHSO), the Ministry of Finance by Krung Thai Bank, and social security network hospitals, both public and private, to provide Covid-19 vaccinations for insured persons to control the spread of the pandemic in factories and workplaces. Vaccinations will initially start for Section 33 insured persons in Bangkok for 24,000 companies all around Bangkok, from June 7 to 26. The Bangkok Social Security Offices Area 1 to 12 has prepared the facilities, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and medical equipment from 23 hospitals in the social security network, potentially vaccinating 50,000 people per day. All centers provide services between 08.00 to 17.00 hours.
Since May, the Social Security Office has asked the human resources department of each company to survey the needs for vaccinations, to notify them via the Social Security Office’s e-service system. The Social Security Office then arranged the vaccination queue for each establishment and reported back to the establishment so that the HR department notifies their employees to receive vaccines in order of the queue. Krung Thai Bank also sent an SMS informing each insured person of the date, time, location, and queue order. The effort facilitates and reduces congestion to receive vaccinations at all 45 locations that the Social Security Office has arranged around Bangkok.
“Today, I was assigned by the Labour Minister to visit and encourage medical personnel, Section 33 insured persons, and Social Security Office staff in the area providing Covid-19 vaccination services to boost morale and encourage them in carrying out their duties to help control the spread of the pandemic. The efforts will create group immunity to overcome the Covid-19 situation together,” concluded Mrs. Thiwalrat.
