Labour Minister Assigns Assistant to Sriracha to Inspect Proactive Covid-19 Screening in the Workplace

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong to visit Sriracha to inspect and encourage proactive Covid-19 screening for insured persons under Section 33 in the workplace.

          On May 10, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong to visit and give words of encouragement to employees receiving proactive Covid-19 screening for insured persons in the workplace in Novotel Marina Sriracha and Koh Si Chang Hotel, Chonburi.

          Mr. Surachai said that the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha is concerned about the workforce amid the Covid-19 outbreak due to the widespread of the pandemic and the increasing infection rate. Therefore, the Ministry of Labour, under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, was instructed to expand proactive Covid-19 testing facilities to establishments to accelerate control over the outbreak in dark red areas, such as Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Chon Buri, Rayong, Samut Sakhon, and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. Today, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned him to visit Chonburi to inspect and encourage employees and officials providing proactive Covid-19 testing in establishments to employees, particularly for businesses in hospitality, restaurants, and factories located in the Sriracha area. A total of 200 people were tested, expecting to know their test results within 24 hours.
