On February 17, 2025, at 16.30 hours, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, assigned Mr. Aree Krainara, the Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Krirkkrai Nasomyont, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Inspector-General and Acting Legal Advisor, and the executives of the Ministry of Labour as representatives to receive flowers expressing gratitude from employees of Yarnapund Public Company Limited, and former employees of Body Fashion Co., Ltd., A.M.C. Spinning, and Alpha Spinning who came together to present flowers to the Minister of Labour. The employees expressed their gratitude for the Labour Minister’s support to employees who were laid off without receiving compensation. They also encouraged the Labour Minister to support the workforce while also following up on the outcomes of the support. The occasion took place on the ground floor, Gate 3, Ministry of Labour.
After receiving the flowers, Mr. Aree said that the Labour Minister cares about Thai workers affected by business closures and has no work to do. He said that he understood the situation, that the workers had made reports to the Ministry of Labour some time ago, and some compensation had been paid. However, it was still not enough, especially the salary. He said he understood the workers’ sentiments and that the Ministry of Labour is urgently coordinating with all relevant departments to find ways to support all those impacted.
Most recently, when the Minister of Labour received the letter, he had already sent it out, and it is being processed. He asked the workers to stay tuned for updates.
Mr. Aree reiterated that Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakan, the Labour Minister, and he are committed to helping the workers.
