Labour Minister joined a meeting with the public and private sectors to set measures to promote employment for new graduates. The meeting is to alleviate the suffering of COVID-19 impact.
Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin chaired the rehearsal meeting to discuss measures to promote employment for new graduates at the Prasong Rananant Meeting Room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. Secretary-General to the Ministry of Labour Mr. Suthep Chitvong, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the meeting. The Labour Minister said that today’s meeting had the objective to meet with representatives from both the public and private sectors such as representatives from Krung Thai Bank and related private organizations, to help set measures to promote employment for new graduates. The meeting also discussed measures to maintain employment within the country, both the in the public and private sectors, by allowing employers or companies to employ new graduates at the Bachelor’s Degree, Vocational Certificate and Vocational Certificate
Mr. Suchart continued that according to the data from the National Statistical Office and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, in 2020, there are 3.92 hundred thousand graduates to promote employment for new graduates, to meet their needs and the labour market. The Ministry of Labour will integrate work with employers and companies in solving the issue of unemployment for new graduates
The Ministry of Labour will issue measures to promote employment for newly graduated students through this consultation with the private sector, to propose to the Cabinet for consideration and approval. Then there will be various publicity details about recruiting in the next order.
