Labour Minister Checks Readiness of Proactive Covid-19 Screening Center for Insured Persons in Red Areas Before Service on April 24-30 at Pathum Thani Vocational College

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin and the committee visited the Pathum Thani Vocational College to check the readiness of the proactive Covid-19 screening facility for insured persons in Pathum Thani and nearby to reduce congestion and facilitate screening. Services commence on April 24 to 30.

          On April 23, 2021, at the multi-purpose hall, Pathum Thani Vocational College, Ban Klang, Mueang, Pathum Thani, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin chaired the inspection for the readiness of facilities as a channel to provide proactive Covid-19 screening for insured persons to reduce congestion and facilitate insured persons in the social security system under Sections 33,39 and 40 located in Pathum Thani Province and nearby areas. The Labour Minister’s Secretariat Mr. Suthep Chitayavong, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, Pathum Thani Provincial Governor Mr. Chaiwat Chuenkosum, Director of the Pathum Thani Vocational College Dr. Sansanee Sayasonthi, Director of Karunvej Pathumthani Hospital Dr. Yingkiat Paisanachapong, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion. The Labour Minister said that Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha has shown concern for insured persons amid the Covid-19 situation and instructed the Ministry of Labour to work with the Ministry of Interior in Bangkok and the National Health Security Office (NHSO) to add more channels or options to service insured persons to be examined quickly, to reduce congestion or long queues. Today, The Labour Minister and relevant departments went to the area to check the facility’s readiness to be used as a channel for the Covid-19 screening services to reduce congestion and facilitate insured persons under Sections 33, 39, and 40 located in Pathum Thani and nearby areas.

          Mr. Suchart said that Pathum Thani has many establishments. At present, 605,000 people are insured and live in the red areas where more people have become infected with Covid-19. Therefore, Pathum Thani Provincial Social Security Office has worked with the Pathum Thani Vocational College to establish a Covid-19 screening center for insured persons, with a team of doctors from Karunvej Pathumthani Hospital. The program aims to provide screening to insured persons under Sections 33, 39, and 40 in Pathum Thani and nearby areas for seven days from April 24 to 30, 2021, at 8.00 to 15.00 hours. To get screened, insured persons can register online at https://sso.icntracking.com/icntracking/self_register.php by clicking on a screening center in Pathum Thani Province to reserve a Covid-19 screening queue. The effort can support the screening of 1,000 people a day, with 500 people in the morning and 500 people in the afternoon.

          The initiative ensures the care of insured persons infected with Covid-19 be examined and treated quickly, and it is part of supporting government policies to reduce Covid-19 outbreaks in the nation.
