Labour Minister Checks Readiness of Vaccination Services at Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng and if Confident that All 45 Facilities Across Bangkok are Ready

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited the West Sports Building 1, Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng, Bangkok, to check the readiness of the Covid-19 vaccination facility for insured persons under Section 33 before services start on June 7.

          On June 6, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited the vaccination facility for insured persons under Section 33 to prepare before vaccination services start tomorrow (June 7, 2021). The visit took place at Section 33 insured persons vaccination facility, at the West Sports Building 1, Bangkok Youth Center. The Labour Minister’s Secretariat Mr. Suthep Chitvong, Pol.Maj.Gen. Nantachat Supamongkol from the Office of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the Ministry of Labours Spokesperson (on politics) Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, the Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, the Social Security Office’s Secretary General Mr. Tosapol Kritawongwiman, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion. The Labour Minister said that with the spread of the Covid-19 outbreaks, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, is concerned for the workforce, especially those insured under Section 33 of the Social Security System. In line with the government’s urgent policy to accelerate the distribution of vaccines to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19 as a national agenda, the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office was instructed to work with the Ministry of Interior, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Ministry of Public Health by the NHSO, the Ministry of Finance by Krung Thai Bank and hospitals in the social security network, to administer Covid-19 vaccinations to insured persons under Section 33. Vaccinations will start tomorrow (June 7, 2021). Today, he visited the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng to check the readiness of each step in the vaccination services.

          Mr. Suchart said that the Covid-19 vaccination center for Section 33 insured persons in all 45 areas around Bangkok would have six service procedures: Step one is waiting for registration. Step 2 is to register/verify their identity. Step 3 is to get weighed and take their blood pressure. Step 4 is to screen and take their medical history, assess their risk, and sign consent to receive the vaccination. Step 5 is the vaccination. Step 6 is to record a follow-up or appointment to receive the second dose and issue a vaccination certificate (if any). If the recipient has an adverse reaction after vaccination, there will be staff to take care of and assist them at the first aid point.         

          “From today’s visit, every service point is fully ready to accommodate insured persons under Section 33 who will get vaccinated at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng. Combining all steps will take around 40 minutes per person. This facility can vaccinate up to 1,500 people per day. There is a team of medical personnel from Vichaivej International Samut Sakhon Hospital to provide vaccination services. With all centers combined, there is the capacity to vaccinate 50,000 people a day,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
