Labour Minister Checks Readiness of Vaccination Services for Section 33 Insured Persons at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng Before Services Commence on June 7 at 45 Locations

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited the West Sports Building 1, Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan) in Din Daeng, Bangkok, to check the readiness of the Covid-19 vaccination facility for insured persons under Section 33 before services start on June 7. In Bangkok, there will be facilities in 45 locations.

          On June 5, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited the vaccination facility for insured persons under Section 33 in West Sports Building 1, Bangkok Youth Center. The Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, and the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Prateep Songlamyong, also joined the occasion. The Labour Minister said that with the spread of the Covid-19 outbreaks, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, is concerned for the workforce, especially those insured under Section 33 of the Social Security System. In line with the government’s urgent policy to accelerate the distribution of vaccines to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19 as a national agenda, the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office was instructed to work with the Ministry of Interior, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Ministry of Public Health by the NHSO, the Ministry of Finance by Krung Thai Bank and hospitals in the social security network, to administer Covid-19 vaccinations to insured persons under Section 33, in efforts to control outbreaks in the workplace. Vaccinations will begin from June 7 to insured persons who have notified their intention to receive the vaccine with the HR department of various establishments in the Bangkok area and those recorded in the e-service system of the Social Security Office.

          Mr. Suchart continued that the vaccination queue will follow the procedure that the employer has requested through the e-service system. The Social Security Office has set a total of 45 vaccination facility locations throughout Bangkok, such as the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng, Thammasat University (Tha Prachan), Kasetsart University, Central World, Big C Dao Khanong, and locations that are company head offices where employees/insured persons are. The Bangkok Social Security Office Area 1-12 has prepared facilities, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and medical equipment to provide complete services at all points. The effort has the potential to vaccinate 50,000 people a day. The Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and his team will visit Section 33 insured persons at the vaccination center in Bangkok, at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng on Monday, June 7.

          “From today’s visit, the Ministry of Labour and related agencies are ready to perform at their best, joining together to vaccinate insured persons under Section 33 to control the pandemic and to build immunity among the workforce to return to normal situations for the business sector to move forward as quickly as possible,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
