August 7, 2026, at 10:30 hours – Mr. Julapun Amornvivat, Minister of Labour, presided over the opening ceremony of the “JOB FAIR @Kalasin Has It All: Study with Funding, Graduate with a Job” event. In attendance were Mr. Santi Nantasuwan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Kritikakon Wongsawangphanit and Ms. Bunyakorn Damrongrat, Advisers to the Labour Minister, Ministry of Labour executives and officials, as well as members of the public, schoolchildren, and university students. The event was held at the Multipurpose Auditorium, Kalasin University (Urban Campus), Mueang Kalasin District, Kalasin Province.
Mr. Julapun Amornvivat, Minister of Labour, said that the Ministry of Labour, through the Department of Employment, in collaboration with the Kalasin Provincial Employment Office, Kalasin University, employers, and businesses, organised this event to advance government policy on promoting employment, generating income, expanding occupational opportunities, and reducing social inequality, whilst accelerating the development of a workforce with skills matched to the demands of the digital-age labour market, through practical work experience placements in actual businesses, as well as supporting job-matching upon graduation. The KSU Career Center, under Kalasin University’s Student Support Service programme, serves as an important mechanism for preparing students with the knowledge, skills, and experience aligned with labour market needs, and acts as a bridge connecting students with businesses and employers to increase employment opportunities upon graduation.
Mr. Julapun said that this event is aimed at opening up a world of career possibilities for students and the general public of all groups, enabling them to learn about labour market trends, digital technology skills, and new forms of independent occupations, to inspire them in planning their further education and choosing suitable career paths. This is consistent with the policy directive of “Free Learning, Employment Available, Lifelong Learning,” which represents an integrated collaboration across all sectors to develop human resource potential and drive the national economy. The “JOB FAIR @Kalasin Has It All: Study with Funding, Graduate with a Job” event also serves as an important mechanism for directly connecting jobseekers with employers, allowing applicants to be interviewed and selected for employment on the spot, whilst building vocational knowledge, practising independent occupations, and developing skills that can be used to pursue a career, generate income, improve quality of life, and contribute to the national economy.
The event offers a comprehensive range of employment promotion and career development services, including direct recruitment by businesses, government-sponsored registration for those interested in working overseas, a special lecture on “Labour Market Skills That Will Survive the AI Era,” along with educational guidance exhibitions, personality assessments for career selection, and career learning through virtual reality systems.
Additional activities include promoting independent occupations through the 3M project (Have Work, Have Money, Have More Qualifications), demonstrations and hands-on practice of independent occupations, and displaying and selling products from home-based workers and independent occupation groups. One-Stop Services are also available, such as labour law consultation, handling of jobseeker complaints, mobile employment services, and the sale of affordable goods from Thong Fa discount stores and shops participating in the Thai Chuay Thai Plus project to help reduce the cost of living for the public.
The Ministry of Labour invites residents of Kalasin Province and surrounding areas who are seeking employment, wish to change jobs, or are interested in developing skills and building a career to attend the event free of charge for the duration.
