The Labour Minister commenced the Social Security Office’s 29th anniversary event with plaques of honour to outstanding establishments which have benefited the office, and a plaque to hospitals at heart. The Labour Minister commended the Social Security Office for its continuous development towards the 30th year, aiming to strengthen the security in life for the insured.

On September 3, 2019, Labour Minister M.R. Chatumongol Sonakul chaired the Social Security Office’s 29th anniversary. Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, the Social Security Office’s Secretary-General Mr. Ananchai Uthaipattanachep, and the ministry’s executives also joined the event, which took place at the Social Security Office, Tiwanon Road, Talat Khwan, Mueang, Nonthaburi. The Labour Minister gave a speech the occasion of the Social Security Office’s 29th, commending the development of office, which has continuously developed social security as a dependency to provide security in the life of the workers. It has demonstrated a commitment to reform the national social security system into a new era and is trusted by the people. The office has provided insurers with a better quality of life, following the national strategy and government policy on creating opportunities and social equality, in line with the Ministry of Labour’s own policy that emphasizes and strives to push for various labour policies, including granting independent workers access to social security systems to create fairness and equality for all sectors. It has worked on improving and developing medical services to provide insurers persons with excellent services with standards, and increasing various benefits to ensure proper labour security that is suitable for living, including raising the level of service by promoting government services to electronic systems and establishing a network of service representatives with employers, employees and insurers, to achieve essential goals in the development and improvement of the quality of life of all workers. The Social Security Office’s work is regarded as a critical force contributing to the development of Thailand towards stability, prosperity, and sustainability, without leaving anyone behind
The Labour Minister then presided over the presentation of a plaque of honour to outstanding establishments in 2019 to 64 establishments in Bangkok, honouring and creating incentives for establishments to comply with the Social Security Act, as well as establishments that give importance to paying contributions correctly, in full, on time, and submits contributions through electronic channels in accordance with the Thailand 4.0 policy. The Labour Minister also awarded 44 plaques for showing appreciation and honouring the work of units and people who have benefitted the Social Security Office in 4 areas, including academic, medical, innovation and supporting public relations, whereby 40 were awarded to individuals and 4 to different units. Another 23 awards were presented to hospitals at heart, based on the hospital’s excellence in providing services to the insured, with the development of quality medical services and satisfaction for employees and insurers.
