Labour Minister Emphasizes Policy to Unite Thailand to Create a Nation and Workforce Reconciliation

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin emphasized on the stage of the Confederation of Thai Electrical Appliances, Electronic Automobile & Metalworker’s Annual General Meeting in Chachoengsao, to adopt the “Uniting Thailand to Build a Nation” policy. The policy aims to join forces from all sectors to jointly plan and strengthen the workplace to overcome obstacles while maintaining the original employment conditions to promote the workers’ quality of life and accelerate the recovery of the country’s economy to return to normal as soon as possible.
          On December 20, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin chaired the Confederation of Thai Electrical Appliances, Electronic Automobile & Metalworker’s (TEAM) Annual General Meeting in Chachoengsao at the Training Center for Workers located at 111/4 Moo 1, Soi Wat Bang Kluea, Bang Kluea, Bang Pakong, Chachoengsao. The Labour Minister shared his admiration of TEAM’s success, which is a combination of three worker unions: 1) The Federation of Thailand Automobile Workers Union 2) The Electronic Appliance Workers’ Federation of Thailand and 3) The Metalworks Workers’ Federation of Thailand. The confederation has a total of 75,000 members and is a model organization.
          Mr. Suchart continued that Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan care and aims to improve the quality of life of the people. Efforts focus on preventing and solving labour problems, particularly accelerating economic recovery after the Covid-19 situation eases by bringing the unification policy to build a nation into action. The Ministry of Labour has accelerated important policies into practice under the National Labor Administration Center so that all sectors can take part in driving efforts, especially in remedial work for companies, workers, and the affected people. More recently, the Ministry of Labour organized the Job Expo, Co-Payment project, promoting working abroad and has improved social security benefits in many ways, including skill development and expediting consideration to revise the draft labour laws, as well as strengthening various companies to face the crisis, overcome obstacles and return to normal quickly.
