September 30, 2026 – Mr. Julapun Amornvivat, Minister of Labour, together with Mr. Kokaew Pikultong, Chairman of the Minister of Labour’s Working Group, and Ms. Thidarath Yingcharoen, Advisor to the Labour Minister, joined Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, Director-General of the Department of Skills Development, in her capacity as President of the Ministry of Labour Homemakers’ Association, in visiting the Labour College, Department of Skills Development, to cook ready-to-eat meals for distribution to members of the public and workers affected by the flood situation. The Labour College has been established as the Ministry of Labour’s central kitchen, producing approximately 1,000 to 1,500 meal boxes per day on an ongoing basis, with over 3,000 boxes already delivered to flood victims.
Mr. Julapun said that the Ministry of Labour stands ready to mobilise all agencies under its remit to provide the fullest possible assistance to members of the public during the flooding, with particular emphasis on basic welfare support. The Ministry will continue preparing ready-to-eat meals based on the needs of each affected area.
“What matters is not only assisting whilst the floodwaters remain. Once the situation has subsided and water levels have receded, the Ministry of Labour will swiftly dispatch teams of skilled workers to assist with recovery, repairing electrical appliances, occupational equipment, and vehicles that have sustained damage, to help reduce costs and enable members of the public to return to their lives and livelihoods as soon as possible. We will continue to assist until the situation has fully resolved,” the Minister of Labour said.
