Labour Minister Emphasizes Support for All Stakeholders in Promoting the “Uniting Thailand to Build a Nation” Policy to Strengthen Organizations

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin emphasized on the stage of the Annual General Meeting of the Automobile Workers’ Organization Council of Thailand, to adopt the “Uniting Thailand to Build a Nation” policy, joining forces from all sectors to plan and strengthen the workplace to overcome obstacles, while maintaining original employment conditions. The intention is to promote a good quality of life for workers and accelerate the country’s economy’s recovery.
          The Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin presided over the speech before the 13th Annual General Meeting of the Automobile Workers Organization Council of Thailand in Samut Prakan. Chairman of the Automobile Workers Organization Council Mr. Manit Promkarikul, together with the chairman of another 95 labour automobile labour unions, gave a welcoming. Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion. The Labour Minister said that he was the first Labour Minister to connect with union leaders and the workforce like friends. This has never happened before, and it has allowed the Labour Minister’s work to be more efficient from more information and supportive team from the labour unions as well.
          The Workers’ Organization Council, formed by the union of members that consist of labour unions, are considered to promote labour relations with the administrative process following democratic principles for transparency. Members are involved in management and responsibility together. This is in line with the government’s “Uniting Thailand to Build a Nation” policy that aims to join forces from all sectors to plan and determine Thailand’s future. The Ministry of Labour will operate on a participatory basis under the National Labour Administration Center, a driving center for all dimensions of labour, particularly the recovery of workplaces and people who have been affected and unemployed, to return to employment. It also strives to strengthen companies to face a crisis and overcome obstacles to compete in current conditions and accelerate the country’s economic recovery to return to normal.
          The Labour Minister said that employees’ union to form a Workers’ Organization Council represents the strong role of labour relations. The Ministry of Labour welcomes and supports all organizations, partners, and labour networks because it is an important part of promoting harmony in the working society, which creates a good atmosphere for investment and sustainable development of the country.
