Labour Minister Joins 5th CLMTV Senior Officials Meeting

          On September 16, 2019, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suradej Waleeittikul, Deputy Secretary from the Social Security Office Ms. Aumpun Thuvavit and relevant officials, participated in the 5th CLMTV Senior Officials Meeting at Apsara Palace Resort and Convention Center, Siem Reap, Cambodia. The meeting was under the topic of “Toward the Protection of Migrant Workers in CLMVT Countries: Social Security Cooperation”. The event facilitated the exchange of knowledge about the movement and retention of social security rights for migrant workers in each CLMTV country, including the International Labour Organization (ILO) and International Organization for Migration (IOM). It also considered the roadmap for migration and social security rights for foreign workers in the CLMTV countries and the Joint Statement to propose for consideration at the Ministerial Meeting on Labour in the CLMTV countries on September 17, 2019.
