Labour Minister Joins Meeting to Deliver Policies and Guidelines on Border Area Management Amid Covid-19

          On May 24, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin joined the meeting to hand over policies and guidelines on border management amid the Covid-19 pandemic to border provinces under the Thai border command center in 33 provinces. The meeting took place over video conference. Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol and Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour and Acting Director-General of the Department of Employment, Mr. Phairoj Chotikasathian, also joined the meeting to ensure that the management of Thai border areas with neighboring countries amid the Covid-19 situation operates with unity and efficiency. Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan chaired the meeting and presented the operational policies on this occasion. Provincial Governors from border provinces and committees from the Thai Border Command Center in 33 provinces also attended the meeting. The meeting reported the situation on the borders of Mae Hong Son, Kanchanaburi, Ubon Ratchathani, Sa Kaeo, and Narathiwat provinces and took place at Meeting Room 301, Command Building 1, Government Houses.
