On August 31, 2020, at 08.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, together with General Natthaphon Nakaphanich, Deputy Commander of the Army, Deputy Head of the Office of the Secretariat of the Covid-19 Outbreak Management Center, met to discuss ways to help longan growers from agricultural cooperatives in Chanthaburi province. The workers have experienced labour shortages for the longan harvest season 2020 – 2021, resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. The meeting discussed ways to support Cambodian workers’ deployment to harvest longan in Chanthaburi and took place at the Covid-19 Outbreak Management Center meeting room.
