On February 6, 2025, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, chaired the opening of the “Labour Graduates Development Workshop” for the 2025 fiscal year and presented the Ministry of Labour’s Policy on “Outstanding social security, emphasizing modern skills: Thai people having jobs, creating a culture of safety, and a stable Thai labour economy.” Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, gave a report. Executives of the Ministry of Labour also attended the occasion at the Ministry of Labour’s meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour.
Mr. Phiphat said that the “Labour Graduates Development Workshop” for the 2025 fiscal year, organized by the Ministry of Labour, emphasizes the drive of missions to the people in the area. The initiatives are proactively carried out through labour graduates to drive the ministry’s missions at the district, sub-district, and community levels, providing diverse labour services so that workers have a good quality of life and receive maximum benefits. In addition, he commended officials at all levels who have managed their duties well, being the people’s support to the fullest extent of their abilities. He encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained today to perform their duties more efficiently and to exchange work experiences and ideas to develop working guidelines to keep up with different situations that will continue to evolve in the future.
Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, said that the Ministry of Labour, as the leading agency responsible for managing and protecting workers both in and outside the system, focuses on accelerating development and increasing efficiency in providing services to the public by driving operations through local mechanisms at the district, sub-district, and community levels. The efforts align with the Labour Minister’s policy on “Outstanding social security, emphasizing modern skills: Thai people having jobs, creating a culture of safety, and a stable Thai labour economy.” The Ministry of Labour has emphasized the provision of labour services to people in community areas through the network of labour graduates so that people can access labour services through labour graduates in each district. Therefore, to equip labour graduates with an understanding of their role and key policies of the Ministry of Labour, the “Labour Graduates Development Workshop” was organized for the 2025 fiscal year with the goal of developing labour graduates’ potential. There were 420 participants, comprising 345 labour graduates and 75 labour graduate mentors.
