Labour Minister Visits Chonburi to Boost Morale Among Patients and Campaign Influenza Vaccinations for Insured Persons Aged 50 and Over

The Labour Minister led a team to visit Chonburi, to meet with insured persons aged 50 and over who received flu vaccination services, and patients under the social security system at the Aikchon 2 Hospital and Somdej Phraborom Ratchathewi Hospital Na Siracha in Chonburi. He gave words of encouragement and shared confidence in the inpatient treatment services in the social security system, and promoted the campaign for influenza vaccinations provided to insured persons.

          On November 6, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited social security patients at Aikchon 2 Hospital and Somdej Phraborom Ratchathewi Hospital Na Sriracha in Chonburi to build morale and confidence in the patient treatment services under the social security system. He also campaigned for influenza vaccinations for insured persons. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, the Ministry of Labour’s Secretary-General Mr. Suthep Chitvong, the Ministry of Labour’s executives, Dr. Pichai Siripornpanich, Director of Aikchon 2 Hospital, Dr. Somyot Lohjindapong, Deputy Director of Somdej Phraborom Ratchathewi Hospital Na Sriracha, gave a welcoming.

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha has focused on driving and developing the foundation economy at the local and national level, following the national strategy. The efforts are focused on promoting health and disease prevention for the people, workers, and insured persons to have good health, using the principle of “prevention is better than remedy.” The initiatives include improving and developing medical services, providing insured persons with good standard services so that workers can have good collateral suitable for living. Good health benefits the workers themselves, their families, and the national economy as a whole. In this regard, the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office has provided health promotion and disease prevention through influenza vaccines to insured persons under Section 33 and insured persons aged 50 years and over, to provide protection and care for the insured persons the country’s major workforce. The idea focuses on prevention over remedies and reduces the screening process, and effectively diagnoses patients infected with the coronavirus. The flu vaccination service is provided at a medical facility designated by the Social Security Office once a year, with the service in 2020 starting from October 15 to December 31, 2020, and from 2021 onwards, the service will be available from May 1 to August 31, each year.

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited the people to boost morale and give encouragement to social security patients at the social security patient’s room, 3rd floor, Aikchon 2 Hospital, totaling 26 patients, and cut the ribbon to open the Social Security Smile Corner, which is a special certification point for insured persons. He also provided disability benefits for two persons and on the same day. He visited the insured persons at the Princess Sirikit Building, 3rd Floor, Somdej Phraboromratchathewi Hospital Na Sriracha, to listen to a briefing on the influenza vaccines to insured persons. He also met with 48 social security patients. The Labour Minister asked insured persons to be confident that the Social Security Office will take care of insured persons and continue developing social security work based on the sustainable development philosophy to further secure the life and health of the insured.
