Labour Minister Welcomes Automobile Labour Congress of Thailand President on Visit to Congratulate and Discuss Labour Issues for Stability at Work

           On September 11, 2019, at 09.00 hours, Labour Minister M.R. Chatumongol Sonakul welcomed President of the Automobile Labour Congress of Thailand (Mr. Manit Promkarikul) to meet and congratulate the Labour Minister on taking office. The two parties also discussed labour issues on work security, whereby the ministry’s senior executives also participated. The occasion took place at the Labour Minister’s meeting room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour.
           The President of the Automobile Labour Congress of Thailand requested the Ministry of Labour to proceed, allowing establishments with contracted employees to strictly comply with the Labour Protection Act B.E. 2541, under Section 11/1, and for the government by the Ministry of Labour, to form plans to support the impact of the switch to electric cars on labour in the automotive and related industries.
           The Labour Minister acknowledged the requests and will assign agencies under the Ministry of Labour to conduct and consult with relevant agencies for further action.
