Labour Minister Welcomes Mrs. Mary Jo A. Bernardo-Aragon, Philippine Ambassador to Thailand

On December 13, 2019, at 09.00 hours, Labour Minister M.R. Chatumongol Sonakul welcomed Mrs. Mary Jo A. Bernardo-Aragon, Philippine Ambassador to Thailand. The meeting took place at the War Room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol and the ministry’s executives also joined the occasion. The Philippine Ambassador congratulated the Labour Minister on appointment to his new position and to give her farewells upon her retirement, departing from Thailand on December 23. The parties discussed the amendment of Thai law concerning migrant workers, especially in the Philippines, forms of work that prohibited from foreign workers occupying and newly imposed penalties, as well as the possibility of making an agreement on social security too.
