Labour Minister’s Advisor Encourages and Gifts Disabled Insurers Under Section 33 in Trang

          The Advisor to the Labour Minister traveled to Trang province to meet and encourage 2 insurers under Section 33 with disabilities, along with giving gifts.

          On January 16, 2020, Advisor to the Labour Minister Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jak Punchoopet visited Trang province to meet and encourage 2 disabled insurers under Section 33. The Social Security Office’s Inspector-General Mrs. Pidsamai Nithipaiboon, Trang Provincial Labour Officer Mrs. Amornwan Chuangpetchinda, Trang Provincial Social Security Officer Mr. Somkiat Sirichusub, Trang Provincial Labour Protection and Welfare Officer Mr. Surasingha Chunnasaksi, Trang Provincial Employment Officer Mr. Wasin Khunchit and Trang Provincial Director of Skill Development Mr. Pakorn Sripetch also joined the occasion. The first insurer the committee visited was Mr. Yuthana Jitlang, 49, residing at No. 54/37 Khok Khan Road, Thap Thiang, Mueang, Trang. He is insured under Section 33 of Yuenyong Motor Company (1984) and was a branch manager with a salary of 13,600 Baht. On February 19, 2019, he was diagnosed with an ischemic stroke. He is unable to walk or use his right arm, he cannot speak or control his excretory systems. He has normal vision and to eat and dress requires help from others. Mr. Yuthana is able to communicate and speak well. The benefits he receives is a monthly compensation for his disability of 6,800 Baht for his lifetime and a base pay 13,600 Baht. In the case of death, 40,000 Baht is granted for funeral expenses, and compensation for death amounting to 81,600 Baht. He also has a retirement pension of 178,765.34 Baht and a transportation allowance of 500 Baht per month for traveling to see a doctor.

          The Advisor to the Labour Minister then visited Mr. Saeng-soon Su, 37, residing at 92/24 Jingchit Road, Thap Thiang, Mueang, Trang. He is insured under Section 33 of Trang Seafood Products and was a deputy factory manager with a salary of 15,000 Baht. On December 25, 2017, Mr. Saeng-soon was in a motorcycle accident causing his spine to fracture, nerve injuries and wounds on his buttocks. He is not unable to walk or control his excretory systems, and to eat and dress requires help from others. He has normal vision, functioning nervous system, ability to use his arms and hand normally and communicate as usual. The benefits he receives is a monthly compensation for his disability of 7,500 Baht for his lifetime and a base pay 15,000 Baht. In the case of death, 40,000 Baht is granted for funeral expenses, and compensation for death amounting to 30,000 Baht. He also has a retirement pension of 73,649.10 Baht and a transportation allowance of 500 Baht per month for traveling to see a doctor.
