Labour Minister’s Advisor Meets Labour Volunteers as Connection of Labour Missions to the People

             Advisor to the Labour Minister and committee visited Pattani and met with labour volunteers to deliver policies and working guidelines. He commended the dedicated labour volunteers as an essential mechanism for driving the Ministry of Labour’s mission to the people in the southern border areas.

 

            On November 27, 2019, at 10.30 hours, Advisor to the Labour Minister Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jak Punchoopet and committee presided over the opening ceremony of the Labour Volunteers Network Empowerment Project (AorSorRor) to integrate the mission of the Ministry of Labour in Pattani. The meeting happened for the first time for the 2020 fiscal year. Director from the Office of Inspection and Evaluation Ms. Pattraporn Samatrat, Pattani Labour Officer Mrs. Suchinda Boon-ae and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Pattani province, together with 130 volunteers from Pattani welcomed the visiting committee at Prachutprayathani 2, 1st floor, Southern View Hotel, Muang, Pattani. The Advisor to the Labour Minister said that the Ministry of Labour has given importance to the promotion of the quality of life of the people in the area, as well as promoting the participation of the people sector to help support the Ministry of Labour’s operations. It also participates in the development and solution of problems in the southern border provinces following the government’s urgent policies, including maintaining peace in Pattani province.
            Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jak said that the implementation of this project is an integral part of creating cohesion between government agencies under the Ministry of Labour and Pattani Labour Volunteers, of integrating and driving missions to people in the local area efficiently. Efforts will result in sustainable improvements in people’s quality of life, as well as create a positive image and attitude to the government operations, under the work of the Ministry of Labour.
            Pattani Labour Officer Mrs. Suchinda Boon-ae said that the “Labour Volunteer Network” acts as a public relations channel for information about labour. It is a network for coordinating labour services in the area/community. Currently, Pattani has a network of 878 volunteers, consisting of 115 sub-district workers and 763 village/community level volunteers. The Ministry of Labour units in Pattani realize the importance of Pattani labour volunteers in the development of labour networks to be efficient and effective, taking services to people in the area and communities.
