Labour Minister’s Advisor Promotes Development of the Quality of Life of People in Songkhla Through The “Labour Volunteer Network”

            The Ministry of Labour organized the seminar to strengthen labour volunteer networks to integrate with the Ministry of Labour’s missions in Songkhla. Advisor to the Labour Minister Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jak Punchoopet chaired the seminar at the Samila Meeting Room 2, BP Samila Beach Hotel and Resort.

            On March 13, 2020, at 11.00 hours, Advisor to the Labour Minister Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jak Punchoopet presided over the commencement of a seminar to strengthen the network of labour volunteers to integrate with the Ministry of Labour’s missions in Songkhla for the 2020 budget year. The event took place at the Samila Meeting, Room 2, BP Samila Beach Hotel, and Resort. Songkhla Provincial Labour Officer Mrs. Suchinda Boon-ae reported the objectives of the seminar. The Labour Minister’s Advisor said that the Ministry of Labour attaches importance to the improvement of the quality of life of the people in the area for better living. It also gives importance to promoting public participation to help develop the policy/strategy of the Ministry of Labour, to improve the quality of life of people in the area to have a better living, in the form of “labour volunteer networks.” He said that the implementation of this project is an integral part of creating cooperation between the government agencies under the Ministry of Labour and for the Songkhla labour volunteers to integrate with driving labour missions to the people in the community and area efficiently. This will result in sustainable improvements in people’s quality of life, as well as creating a positive image and attitude for government operations, under the Ministry of Labour. The Labour Minister’s Advisor thanked the government agencies under the Ministry of Labour, including all staff and volunteers involved in this project, and that he would like the project to be accomplished following the goals and objectives set in all respects.

            The seminar’s objective aims to strengthen knowledge about labour, which will be beneficial to the performance in coordinating labour services to the labour volunteer networks in Songkhla. This will result in the integration of labour between the network of labour volunteers and agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Songkhla. The event allows participants to exchange experiences with each other, resulting in the development of operational guidelines that are in the same direction, and efficient, to maximize effectiveness. It also allows the Labour Volunteers to respond to the policies and guidelines of the Ministry of Labour, with clarity and comprehensive, ready to create unity and good relations between management, government officials, officials under the Ministry of Labour, and volunteers in Songkhla. The initiative will bring the development of more effective labour operations. There were 100 participants in the seminar, consisting of heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Songkhla, the Songkhla Labour Volunteer Development Working Group, and volunteers in Songkhla Province.
