Labour Minister’s Advisor Visits Phetchaburi To Deliver MOL Policies and Drive Sustainable Success

                Advisor to the Labour Minister visited Phetchaburi to chair the meeting for heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour, to deliver policies to accelerate the mission of supporting affected by Covid-19 in accordance with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister’s orders (General Prawit Wongsuwan), ready to visit the area to inspect the operations of government agencies.

                On September 1, 2020, at 13.00 hours, Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, chaired the meeting for heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi, and delivered the Labour Minister’s policies. The Ministry of Labour oversees 38 million workers with four important tasks. This includes promoting skill development on up-skilling and re-skilling to provide workers with skills that can support the Covid-19 situation. The initiative is under an MOU with the Office of Vocational Education Commission, Ministry of Education which includes the exchange of information on vocational needs in line with the labour market. The Ministry of Labour is determined to increase efficiency in preventing and resolving human trafficking issues, to upgrade to Tier 1, and improve social security benefits by encouraging employees to be aware of their safety and health, to take care, and prevent disease that may arise from work. Efforts also include the development of a Big-Data database system in technology to serve people accurate, fast, and timely information for their needs, and to expand network integration to promote, protect and develop skills for non-formal or independent workers. The Labour Minister’s Advisor an advisor emphasized the promotion of employment for over 1 million positions, and labour protection according to the labour law, expediting assistance for section 33 insured persons with low income and to create knowledge and understanding of the labour relations system to drive proactive solutions to unemployment, and manage the workforce systematically, covering all dimensions.

                Mrs. Thiwalrat inspected the operations of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi and gave words of encouragement to civil servants and officials, to boost their morale at work.
