On April 20, 2021, at 10.30 hours, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong chaired the meeting together with the administration, provincial government heads, and hospitals in the network in Chonburi.
The third wave of Covid-19 had led to infection among many people, and most are asymptomatic, causing the infection to spread widely. In addition, Chonburi province has tourist attractions, industrial estates, and many factories. The Ministry of Labour has the policy to help alleviate the burden of public health in establishing a Covid-19 screening center for insured persons under Sections 33, 39, and 40 to proactively screen and search for infected people. The efforts aim to boost the confidence among investors and tourists. The said meeting passed a resolution to establish a Covid-19 screening center at Sriracha District Auditorium, which will open for services from April 24, 2021, to May 15, 2021. Insured persons who will be entitled to screening include 25,000 people. Insured persons can check their rights and ask for more information at the Chonburi Social Security Office. The meeting took place at the Mitmaitree Meeting Room, Chonburi Labour Protection and Welfare Office.
