On July 9, 2020, at 09.30 hours, at the meeting room on the 9th floor of Photharam Hospital, Assistant to the Labour Minister Dr. Duangrit Benjathukul Chairungrueng presided over the 2020 proactive health promotion and disease prevention project “Healthy Thailand for Insured Persons”. Deputy Governor of Ratchaburi Mr. Kiatisak Trongsiri, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, the Social Security Office’s Deputy Secretariat Mr. Boonsong Tapchaiyuth, Director of Photharam Hospital in Ratchaburi Province Dr. Kriangsak Kham-im, Ratchaburi Social Security Officer Mrs. Wantana Natphuwat, executives and heads of government from the Social Security Office and local government representatives in Ratchaburi gave a welcoming.
Assistant to the Labour Minister Dr. Duangrit Benjathukul Chairungrueng revelaed to the media that Ministry of Labour supports the drivie of important missions of the Social Security Office to alleviate suffering and aid insured persons impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. This includes the importance of health promotion and disease prevention of insured persons. There has been development in the form of proactive health examination, looking after the services and benefits of all working age groups. The implementation a proactive health promotion and disease prevention program for the year 2020, or “Healthy Thailand for insured persons”, is carried out by all provincial Social Security Offices to care for the health of the workers in organizations throughout the country to have good health and to become more health-consious. In addition, the workers have the opportunity to find a medical center ready with doctors and nurses and annual health check-ups in the workplace without cost. The Social Security Office will be responsible for the expenses.
The Social Security Office’s Deputy Secretariat Mr. Boonsong Tapchaiyuth spoke about the “Healthy Thailand for insured” event together with Photharam Hospital in Ratchaburi province. He said that the implementation of this project received good cooperation between employers, employees, insured persons, hospitals and relevant government agencies, that attach importance to the Social Security Office. The parties jointly campaigned to drive the event forward, whereby the event consisted of lecture activities under the topic of “Knowledge of self-health care to reduce health risks to prevent chronic and occupational diseases” and “Understanding COVID-19 with Social Security” by speakers were from Photharam Hospital. There was also a session on “Social Security Knowledge” from speakers at Ratchaburi Social Security Office and an exhibition to give knowledge and answer questions about Social Security. In addition, there were free health examination from Photharam Hospital, Ratchaburi.
On this occasion, Assistant to the Labour Minister Dr. Duangrit Benjathukul Chairungrueng visited, gave words of encouragement and goods to the insured patients at the ward building of Photharam Hospital, including insured persons with disabilities. He also visited the social security network at the Ratchaburi Social Security Office at Handicraft Hall (Cha Suk Chai), Don Kradai Temple, Photharam, Ratchaburi. The Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office has the intention to look after the insured workers in order to be protected, have security, access to government services and reduce social inequality, which will lead to stability, prosperity and sustainability in the future.
