Labour Minister’s Secretariat Commences Chiang Rai IT Job Fair 2020 to Create Jobs and Professions in the North

Secretariat to the Labour Minister commences “Chiang Rai IT Job Fair 2020”, to create jobs, professions, and income, and apply knowledge gained to care for themselves and their families.

                On February 19, 2020, at 14.00 hours, Secretariat to the Labour Minister Lt. Gen. Nanthadet Meksawat, presided over the opening ceremony of the “Chiang Rai IT Job Fair 2020” at Central Plaza Chiang Rai Shopping Center. Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion. The Labour Minister’s Secretariat said that this event is the introduction of technological systems to service job seekers and employers who participate. It allows job applicants to choose jobs that match their knowledge and ability, and to apply to various employers/companies at the same time. The services are convenient, saves time and money for employers/companies finding new staff. The event also promotes employment to reduce problems of unemployment and labour shortages, as well as increases channels for jobseekers, to be informed of job positions and the needs of the labour market easier and more conveniently. The event also facilitates job applicants wishing to attend job fairs to pre-register through the internet. Employers can also post job vacancies online.

                 Lt. Gen. Nanthadet further said that this event intends to allow job applicants to choose jobs that match their knowledge, abilities, and aptitudes, as well as apply to many employers/companies at the same time. The services are convenient and save time and money for employers/companies finding new staff. The event also promotes employment to reduce problems of unemployment and labour shortages, as well as increases channels for jobseekers, to be informed of job positions and the needs of the labour market easier and more conveniently. The event also facilitates job applicants wishing to attend job fairs to pre-register through the internet. Employers can also post job vacancies online. Activities within the event consisted of employers and establishments recruiting and conducting interviews. A total of 56 employers joined the event, with 195 positions and 1,039 vacancies. There were 25 employers directly recruiting in the vent, with 110 positions and 590 vacancies. A total of 31 companies announced 85 positions and 449 vacancies. There was a booth to educate participants about Section 40 by the Chiang Rai Social Security Office, job applications through IT systems, professional aptitude testing and English language assessments for job applications, labour clinics, labour counseling and demonstrations for 10 independent careers in order to apply knowledge gained to self and family care.
