Labour Ministers Shows Utmost Appreciation for HM the King in Providing Royal Grounds for Burial of MOL Interpreter

          The Labour Minister showed remarkable appreciation for His Majesty the King in providing grounds for the funeral of Mr. Mad Ma-min, an interpreter from the Saudi Arabia Labour Office (Riyadh). Mr. Mad made sacrifices to help sick Thai workers return home during Covid-19, and eventually became ill himself, returning to Thailand for treatment, until he passed.

          On September 19, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that the Ministry of Labour and the family of Mr. Mad Ma-min was deeply appreciative of the royal grace that His Majesty provided the ground for the burial of Mr. Mad Ma-min, an interpreter from the Labour Office in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh), who passed away yesterday, due to a lung infection with resistant bacteria (September 18, 2020) at Rajavithi Hospital. Today, the Ministry of Labour by Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, assigned Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Pattaraporn Samantarat, along with the Director of the Office of International Cooperation, workers in Chachoengsao, and agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Chachoengsao attended the funeral of Mr. Mad Ma-min. The Deputy Director-General of the Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also joined the ceremony at 11.00 hours at Bustanul Arien Mosque, Khlong Si Wa Phra Achan, Koh Ka, Bang Nam Prieo, Chachoengsao. Deputy Governor of Chachoengsao Mr. Prasong Kongkaoroptham, chaired the event.

          Mr. Mad Ma-min has been an interpreter for the Ministry of Labour for over 20 years, in Saudi Arabia and territories in Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, helping many Thai people who were sick to return home during the Covid-19 pandemic. He successfully helped the people and eventually fell ill himself from a lung infection from drug-resistant bacteria. He returned to Thailand to heal until he eventually passed away in Thailand.

          “In receiving the royal grounds on this occasion, I share immense joy and appreciation to His Majesty the King, for the family of Mr. Mad Ma-Min,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
