September 23, 2025 – Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, presided over the opening of the seminar to formulate operational guidelines and the annual action plan for the Ministry of Labour for the fiscal year 2026. Ms. Warunee Langkapin, Director of the Strategy and Planning Division, delivered the report. The seminar was attended by senior executives, heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour, both at central and regional levels, as well as labour attachés abroad. A total of 700 participants attended in person at the Grand Ballroom, 3rd Floor, The Emerald Hotel, Ratchadaphisek Road, Din Daeng District, Bangkok, while over 500 participants joined via electronic conferencing.
Mr. Samat Pattamasukon stated that the Ministry of Labour plays a highly significant role in driving Thailand’s economy. In progressing towards becoming an “Economic Ministry,” it is necessary to formulate policies and operational guidelines that are concrete, practical, effective, transparent, and accountable, both at the central and regional levels.
This seminar therefore served as a platform to link operations between central and regional agencies, enabling the action plan to be appropriately adapted to local contexts and aligned with provincial labour issues and the needs of citizens. This approach ensures more targeted solutions to labour challenges, whether in employment, skills development, labour protection, or social security, all of which are key factors in improving the quality of life for Thai workers and fostering the nation’s long-term sustainable development.
The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour further emphasised that the implementation of the Ministry of Labour’s missions in the fiscal year 2026 must move forward in a unified direction, consistent with the Ministry of Labour’s action plan, to ensure maximum benefit for the people.
During the event, Mr. Samat also presented certificates and cash awards to five winners of the logo design contest for the 32nd anniversary of the Ministry of Labour, honorary plaques to 13 outstanding labour volunteers and four outstanding labour graduates, as well as plaques of appreciation to 108 retiring officials of 2025, in recognition of their dedication and service for the benefit of the Ministry of Labour and the people throughout their careers.
