The Labour Minister visited the Chitralada Institute of Technology to promote cooperation projects between the Ministry of Labour and Chitralada Institute of Technology to develop standards and labour skill testing to drive the labor market quality.
On August 27, 2020, at 15.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat and the Ministry of Labour’s executives met Dr.Khunying Sumonta Promboon, the President of Chitralada Institute of Technology to visit the cooperation project between the Ministry of Labour and Institute in accelerating skill standard testing for students promote a quality workforce at Chitralada Institute of Technology, Rajasuda Sompob Building (604), the Royal Office of Sanam Suapa, Bangkok.
The Ministry of Labour has cooperated with Chitralada Institute to coordinate vocational training and prepare with Chitralada School (Vocational) in professional clubs since 2007. In 2017, the National Skill Standard Testing Center was established to build electrician branch level 1 and Thai food operator level 1 with Chitralada Technology College. On June 3, 2020, Chitralada Institute of Technology organized a meeting for the Thai Cook Standards Project in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, to prepare Thai cooks to have higher potential and prepare personnel under the Skill Standards Testing Center, level 1, in Thai foodstuff branch after passing the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mr. Suchart said that Chitralada Institute is an institute for developing standards and assessing labour skills for students to acquire quality work skills to meet the labor market’s needs. It will enable participants to adapt to various changes in the present world and boost the potential for the further economic development of the country.
