MOL and MSDHS Donate Necessities to Small Children Center in Samut Prakarn

          The Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with the Ministry of Development and Human Security, donated necessary items and equipment to the Child Center at Sirindhorn Rajabhat University under royal patronage, in Samut Prakan, to promote and support the operations of the center.

          On July 31, 2020, Minister of Social Development and Human Security Juti Krairerk, as Acting Labour Minister, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat and executives from both ministries, visited the Sirindhorn Rajawittayalai Campus Child Center under royal patronage in Thai Ban, Mueang Samut Prakan, Samut Prakan. The visiting committee observed the buildings and classroom activities and listened to the history and performance of the center. On this occasion, the ministries donated necessary items and equipment to promote and support the operations of the center.

          Mr. Juti said that the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has a joint mission in looking after the welfare of the people. It donated necessary items and equipment to the Sirindhorn Rajawittayalai Campus Child Center under the royal patronage in Samut Prakan Province, today, which is the equivalent of looking after the workers as when the children of workers are well looked after, the workers will be worry-free. This will result in efficiency and happiness at work, which is an important policy of the government in creating morale for people in all sectors.

          Mrs. Theanrat said further that the Sirindhorn Rajawittayalai Campus Child Center under the royal patronage is a project based on the royal initiatives of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn together with Phra Suthammathibadi, Assistant Abbot of Bowonniwet Vihara Temple and Director of the Sirindhorn Rajavidhaya Foundation under royal patronage. The foundation is under the management of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, the Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with the Sirindhorn Ratchawittayalai Foundation. There are two locations under royal patronage, which are the Sirindhorn Rajawittayalai Campus Child Center under royal patronage in Nakhon Pathom and Samut Prakarn. Both centers are open to taking care of preschool children from 2 and a half years to 6 years. Initially, the center looked after children of workers but has now opened to take care of children of the general public as well.
