MOL Checks Readiness of Organizations Participating in the Factory Sandbox Project

           On September 7, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, to visit the area and to check the readiness of the participating organizations in the factory sandbox project at SB Furniture Co., Ltd. Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mr. Prateep Keeratirekha also joined the occasion. The Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, along with his delegation, will visit the factory sandbox project at the said organization on Friday, September 10.

           Ms. Bubpha said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, have given importance to the prevention and control of COVID-19 outbreak in establishments. On August 14, 2021, the CCSA approved the pilot project to prevent and control the pandemic in industrial plants (Factory Sandbox) by working with various agencies in the area under the process to “inspect, maintain, control and supervise.” The effort consists of proactive screening for factory employees following established measures, the establishment of field hospitals to treat green, yellow and red patients, vaccinations for workers focusing on risk groups, including pregnant workers, the issuance of certificates to the company to ensure investor confidence, and further implementation of the ‘Bubble & Seal’ measure.
