The Ministry of Labour organized a workshop to develop the potential of labour graduates, to exchange learning experiences and to utilize knowledge gained about self-development and various skills to adapt to work and life for the benefit to themselves, colleagues, organizations and localities. The ministry is ready to push all goals of the Ministry of Labour to achieve success effectively.

On March 27, 2019, at 09.00 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Pol.Maj. Romayong Surakitbunharn chaired the workshop to develop the potential of labour graduates at The Berkeley Hotel, Pratunam, Bangkok. She said that labour graduates are intermediaries and an essential mechanism for driving the policy and mission of the Ministry of Labour to people in the area, by creating jobs, careers, income and stability in work, which can be seen from activities in which labour graduates bring to the local areas. Examples include the one district, one group, one profession activity, the love of the homeland activities, the mobile district labour center for smiles activities, activities to strengthen health of informal workers and coordination of labour services at the local/community level. The labour graduates bring services and benefits to the people in local areas to help reduce or alleviate the situation of mutual distrust between government officials and the public for the better, which will make the people aware of the labor situation of people in the area. They also survey labour information to create a One Plan integrated with agencies under the Ministry of Labour and external agencies for solving problems and helping people, following the context of the area. Examples include the unemployed who are ready to work, who want to train, information for workers abroad, information on elderly people, people with disabilities, informal workers and other information in addition to the primary mission of the Ministry of Labour that can support other agencies, such as information on graduating youth, information on students not studying further, information for those who have not worked and are looking for work and information on the housing situation of the people in the area.
Pol.Maj. Romyong added that she hoped this seminar would provide all participants the opportunity to exchange learnings and working experience in the area, bringing knowledge gained about self-development and various skills to adapt to work and life for the benefit of themselves, colleagues, organizations and localities as well as pushing targets at all levels to be effectively successful.
This project is intended to enable graduates to gain potential development, with motivation and a positive attitude towards self-development. It aims to encourage participants to apply skills, experience and knowledge to develop work management processes and create and build morale for love, harmony and strong relationships in the organization. Graduates from Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat and Songkhla provinces joined the seminar totaling 380 people.
