MOL Honours Excellent Workplaces in Pilot Areas on Health Promotion and Disease Prevention for Working People

                The Ministry of Labour participated in the award ceremony to honour the excellent workplace network in pilot areas, promoting health and disease prevention in the workplace with 10 Packages. It honoured organizations committed to employee health and exchanged knowledge on work to promote health and disease prevention in the workplace.

                Today (January 30, 2020) at 10.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, and the Social Security Office’s Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Puma Thamakul, joined in the award ceremony to honour the excellent workplace network in pilot areas to promote health and disease prevention for people in the workplace with 10 Packages. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health Mr. Anutin Charnverakul chaired the award ceremony to honour organizations committed to the health of employees and exchanged knowledge on work to promote health and prevent diseases for people in the workplace. The project follows a memorandum of cooperation on health promotion and disease prevention for people in the workplace between the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Industry, the Bangkok Administration, the Federation of Thai Industries and the Private Hospital Association on September 12, 2019.

                The award ceremony honoured the network of outstanding organizations in the pilot areas for health promotion and disease prevention for people in the workplace with ten packages. This occasion had ten organizations, which were 1. Toyo Seikan (Thailand) Co., Ltd. 2.Auto Alliance (Thailand) Co., Ltd. 3.Takebe (Thailand) Co., Ltd. 4. Toyota Deluxe Co., Ltd. 5. Chun Ki Noodle Factory 6. Thai Malaya Glass Co., Ltd. 7. PTT Global Chemical PCL 8. Sabina PCL 9. Betagro PCL, and 10. Toyota Muang Non Co., Ltd. The project is an example of creating a model network for health promotion and disease prevention for people in the workplace, which will lead to the extension of operations throughout the country. It focuses on creating accurate information awareness, raising awareness, and understanding to guide the practice of working people to be healthy and sustainable.

                It will expand the operations nationwide sustainably, integrating with seven agencies that signed the agreement, including creating an integrated database of civil state health and develop new careers by promoting health, namely the Health Promoter in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour’s Development of Skill Development.
