MOL Inspector-General Joins Seminar on Duties of Advisors to Civil Service Inspectors for 2019

  •          On September 11, 2019, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mr. Somsak Apiwantanakul attended the seminar to clarify the duties of advisors to civil service inspectors for 2019, at the Mida Grand Dvaravati Hotel, Mueang Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Pathom. Chief Inspector-General of the Office of the Prime Minister Pol. Lt. Gen. Theinrat Wichiansan, gave a lecture on the guidelines for performing duties of advisors to civil service inspectors, then spoke about the expectations of the advisors. Participants comprised Inspector-Generals from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Labour.

 

 

          The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mr. Somsak Apiwantakul spoke about the operational guidelines of advisors that must be elegant. As labour issues are sensitive, operations must have current information, clear principles, and reliability. Some issues may be sensitive; therefore, advisors should be careful and maintain the government’s secrets. He stressed the importance that advisors be honest and trustful. The Inspector-General said that IT systems are now required to benefit different areas. In addition, the Ministry of Labour also has a network that works at the local level, namely labour volunteers, which will be able to link work together and ensure alignment in the same direction.
