On December 2, 2019, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Phattana Phanfak was a moderator at a conference on Labour Mobility between Asia and the Arab States, scheduled for December 3-4, 2019 at the Pullman King Power Hotel, Bangkok.
The meeting was organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the UN Women under the support of the Safe and Fair: Realizing women migrant workers’ rights and opportunities in the ASEAN region program. The program is a collaborative project undertaken by the Ministry of Labour with the ILO. The meeting aimed to exchange information and practices about labour mobility, safety, and justice, especially for female migrant workers, to provide policies and plans. Attendees include academic experts and practitioners from various sectors such as the government sector, employer and employees’ organizations, and the people sector from Asian countries and the Arab states.
