MOL Joins Forces with Cat Buzz TV to Integrate Free High-Speed WIFI in Services

          The Ministry of Labour joined forces with Cat Buzz TV, providing digital services through free high-speed WiFi network, driving skills development following the civil state guidelines.
          On November 12, 2020, Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat announced online skill development cooperation between the Department of Skill Development and Cat Buzz TV Co., Ltd. The Department of Skills Development Inspector-Generals Mr. Suttipong Kosonviriyakit and Mrs. Darunee Nitthaweekul, together with President of the Cat Buzz TV Co., Ltd. Mr. Natthinan Suksompong, also joined the occasion at the Pakorn Angsusingh meeting room, 10th floor, Department of Skills Development. She said that WiFi or wireless Internet is a popular technology that allows electronic devices to exchange information or connect to the Internet via mobile devices. Under the leadership of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha, the government has the policy to promote the private and public sectors to receive convenient and fast services and develop manpower to be ready for the digital age. All working-age personnel must have digital knowledge and skills to create employment in new businesses and stimulate information technology to services.
Prof. Narumon added that the Department of Skill Development and Cat Buzz Co., Ltd. will cooperate in developing digital services through free high-speed WIFI networks and setting up a free pilot WiFi system in Samut Prakan as a start. This will create a channel to connect with various departments under the Department of Skill Development in serving people through the Line Official account. This includes communicating with the public or workers and providing easier, more convenient, and faster access in communicating with agencies. The initiatives will link information on skill development, available positions, and employer employment requirements, with a system to collect information specific to persons who use various services of the Department of Skill Development. The Internet user, data storage system complies with the Computer Act. It will provide useful information for skill development following the job position to enhance the development of the community’s quality of life, in economic, social, and environmental aspects, to build a strong community that is self-sufficient and sustainable.
          The Deputy Labour Minister continued that the Department of Skill Development has the main mission of skill development, to prepare the workforce before entering the labour market and to develop workers to have enhanced skills. It integrates cooperation with public and private sectors following civil state guidelines. It is one of the main policies of the government. Therefore, the department has joined forces with Cat Buzz TV to install Free WIFI for skill development. In the future, it will discuss further expansion of service areas.
President of the Cat Buzz TV Co., Ltd. Mr. Natthinan Suksompong added that Cat Buzz TV is a joint venture company of CAT Telecom PCL, a major shareholder, and a company operating telecommunication network. It was chosen by CAT Telecom PCL to be a partner in providing high-speed internet network infrastructure, digital services, and advertising media through free WIFI. The company will organize training for staff under the Department of Skill Development to know installing such equipment and provide knowledge on creating content to support the provision of information services through the Agency’s Line Official account. It will also support the Department of Skill Development missions and public relations to link the training courses in networking and smart city with the Department of Skill Development’s platform.
          “This cooperation between the Department of Skills Development and Cat Buzz will provide services to the people and related persons. They will be able to communicate and use government services quicker,” concluded the Deputy Labour Minister.
