MOL Joins International Human Rights Day 2020 under “7 Decades of Human Rights Progress” Theme

          On December 7, 2020, at 17.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Pattraporn Samatrat to join the International Human Rights Day 2020 under the theme “7 Decades of Human Rights Progress” at the Association of Française, Bangkok, Wireless Road. During the opening ceremony, H.E. Pierca Tapiola, Ambassador Extraordinary, and Plenipotentiary of the European Union, Mrs. Tasanee Pao-in, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Rights and Liberties Protection and Mrs. Cynthia Velico, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights for Southeast Asia, joined to deliver an opening speech. There were also attendees from the government, private sector, civil society, diplomatic groups, and international organizations. Pichet Klunchun Dance Company performed a contemporary dance performance, which presented the essence and challenges of the seven UN human rights treaties to which Thailand has become a partner. There was also a reception to strengthen relations with the relevant parties after the performance.
