On June 16, 2021, at 09.00 hours, Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Ms. Pattaraporn Samantarat, participated in a workshop to promote fair recruitment and employment for migrant workers. The workshop took place over VDO Conference. Today was an international CLMT meeting with representatives from the public and private sectors in CLMT attending participating. In addition, the views of CLMT recruitment agency representatives were discussed under four topics: 1) The development of employment systems in CLMT. 2) CLMT recruitment agency practices concerning fair employment. 3) The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and 4) Current challenges, including legal obstacles and marketing in compliance with the principles of ethical recruiting, especially the International Recruitment Integrity System (IRIS) and problem-solving. The meeting took place at the Conference Room of the International Cooperation Bureau, 12th floor, Ministry of Labour.
