On August 23, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, visited the area to implement the Factory Sandbox project in Nonthaburi at Wathai Industry PCL, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi. The company produces clothing and apparel that are used in industrial work among professionals and students. It has 907 insured persons. The Nonthaburi Provincial Public Health Office, Nonthaburi Provincial Industrial Office, Kasemrad International Hospital Rattanathibet, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Nonthaburi also joined the occasion. Ms. Bubpha said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, have given importance to the prevention and control of the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace. On August 16, 2021, the CCSA approved a pilot project for prevention and control of the pandemic in industrial plants (Factory Sandbox) by working with various agencies in the area under the process ” inspect, maintain, control and supervise,” which consists of proactive screening for factory employees according to established measures, the establishment of a field hospital to treat green, yellow and red categorized patients, vaccinating workers by focusing on risk groups and pregnant workers, the issuance of certificates to the company to ensure investor confidence and the implementation of the ‘Bubble and Seal’ measures.
Ms. Bubpha said that today, she was assigned by Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin to visit the pilot area to implement the Factory Sandbox project in Nonthaburi Province at Wathai Industry PCL. The company follows the process of “examination, treatment, control, and supervision” by screening for COVID-19 by swab in the form of RT-PCR for 100 percent of its 907 employees to screen for those who need immediate treatment. Then, the Antigen Test Kit is used every week. A field hospital was established for Factory Accommodation Isolation (FAI) hospitals and ICUs for green, yellow, and red patients for treatment. Vaccinations will be given to workers, focusing on the seven groups of diseases and pregnant people, and certificates will be issued to companies to build confidence for investors.
