On February 18, 2020, at 10.00 hours, Deputy Permanent Secret of Labour Ms. Aumpun Thuvavit, chaired the meeting of the Labour Standards Executive Committee No. 1/2020. The aim of the conference was for the new committee to jointly set policies, strategies, management guidelines, and promote and support the continuous development of Thai labour standards in the workplace. It also aimed to develop and establish a framework for coordination with relevant agencies in promoting, supporting and accepting the development of Thai labour standards to international levels, and to strengthen social responsibility in labour of businesses, including supervising, monitoring and evaluations of the development of Thai labour standards. Representatives from government agencies, private sectors, and networks attended the meeting at the Prof. Nikom Chandravithu conference room, 5th floor, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare.
