On March 18, 2021, at 09.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol chaired the Maritime Labor Committee’s meeting, following the Marine Labour Act B.E. 2564 No. 1/2021. The meeting considered drafting the Ministry of Labour’s regulations on the qualifications and prohibited characteristics in the appointment of qualified committee members and representatives of vessel owners and the draft amendment to the marine labour law in relation to the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare. It also received comments from the International Labour Organization (ILO) in presenting the first report. The meeting took place at the Prof. Nikom Chandravithu meeting room, 5th floor, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare.
