Today (October 1, 2020) at 13.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Secretary-General Mr. Suthep Chitayavong to chair the meeting of the employment promotion project for new graduates by the public and private sectors (Co-Payment) No. 1/2020. Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the meeting, which took place at the Mitmaitree 2 Meeting Room, 5th floor, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare. The meeting considered the qualifications and conditions of employers/organizations, whether any agencies can join the project (private organizations, state enterprises, universities, or public organizations outside the system), qualifications and conditions of new graduates/employees, and other conditions, such as the calculation of the social security deduction, overtime pay base calculations, tax calculations, other eligibility calculations. It also discussed employer and job applicant’s approval guidelines for setting a memorandum of agreement by October 1, 2020, which will be considered for backdated approval. The meeting also discussed project implementation guidelines and the appointment of additional subcommittees and working groups.
