MOL Meets to Assist Flood Victims in 25 Provinces

          Today (September 2, 2019) at 14.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Niyom Songkaew presided over a meeting to prepare for urgent assistance in the floods in 25 provinces, to determine ways to help the people, workers, organizations, civil servants and officials from the Ministry of Labour at the war room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour Building. The “Podul” storm together with the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea from August 29, 2019 to present, caused the sudden flooding in 25 provinces, namely Amnat Charoen, Krabi, Prachin Buri, Phrae, Nakhon Phanom, Chiang Mai, Roi Et, Ubon Ratchathani, Ranong, Phetchabun, Maha Sarakham, Khon Kaen, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Yasothon, Kalasin, Nan, Trat, Mukdahan, Uttaradit, Chaiyaphum, Surin, Phitsanulok, Phichit, Mae Hong Son and Chumphon, covering a total of 66 districts, 158 sub-districts, 372 villages, 1 municipality and 6 communities.
